Indications:

Ceftriaxone Sodium is used against infections caused by pathogenic bacteria such as lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections including pyelonephritis, infection of bile duct, intra-abdominal infections, pelvic infections, skin soft tissue infections, bones and joint infections, septicemia, meningitis, and for prevention of infection during operation.

Mechanism:

Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Ceftriaxone results in the formation of defective cell walls and cell death.

1.       The half-life of elimination of Ceftriaxone Sodium lasts for about 7.1 hours.
